Who are we? Frysk Ynternasjonaal Kontakt is an organization with young people who are curious about other cultures and love to travel. We bring youngsters from all over Europe together through exchanges and seminars. As a FYK’er, you can travel through entire Europe and visit places that you’ve never seen before. Who heard about the Kashubs, Sorbs, Raetoromans, Vlach, Catalans and Bretons? And who actually met them, know how they live and has friends there? We travel, make international friends, learn from other cultures and in doing so contribute to the mutual understanding between the various populations of Europe. FYK also strives for awareness among Frisian youngsters of their own language, culture and minority position. What are our activities? FYK organizes youth exchanges with other minorities in Europe. Every Easter and autumn we attend international seminars of our umbrella organization YEN (Youth of European Nationalities) and all year long we meet up for fun activities in Fryslân. Sociability, meeting new people and having fun together are our prioriy, so feel welcome and come join us at one of our actiFYKties!
