Voices of Europe in Fryslân!
Voices of Europe 2011 will be held in Engelum from 3 to 10 July. This is a singing week for young people from different minority language regions in Europe. FYK is the organizer of this years’ edition. The choir consists of about 40 youngsters from for instance Germany (Sorbs), Poland (Kashubs) and Macedonia (Vlach). The will be a lot of rehearsing, led by conductor Peter Shannon, an Irishmen who lives in the United Stated of America. The songs are sung in all different languages which are present.

Besides rehearsing there will be enough time for fun and relaxation. There will be an exchange market where all different groups are able to present their own culture and products, we will be fanatical participants of the Frisian Olympic, and we will go sailing. All participants must see the astonishing Frisian country!

At the end of the week, there will be three concerts in Leeuwarden, Sneek and Engelum. We would like to welcome you to these concerts! They are all free of charge.

Friday 8 July: Het Bolwerk – Sneek (start 19.3-, doars open 19.00)
Saturday 9 July: De Prinsentuin – Leeuwarden (start 13.30)
Saturday 9 july: Church – Engelum (start 20.00, doars open 19.30)
